In the evenings, around 8pm, she gets 1/3rd of a can of wet food.
Extra wet food cans are located under the steel shelving and under the wooden island by the window. Her wet food bowl is the ceramic bowl, located under the microwave table in the corner.
She normally gets enough moisture from her wet food in the evenings, but she will drink water from her metal water bowl throughout the day.
Please check on the metal bowl in her food area to make sure the water isn't dirty or empty.
Sometimes she puts toys in her water bowl to drown them! So it does get a little dirty at times.
Ricky gets four little dry food meals throughout the day from her auto feeder, located under the microwave table in the corner of the kitchen. You don't need to give her any dry food unless the auto feeder stops working. I will fill it before we leave and it usually lasts her for several weeks, so you shouldn't need to fill it.
The auto feeder plays a recording of Megan and I telling Ricky it's time to eat. Please try not to vomit if you are here when it plays.
Her litter box is in the bottom cabinet in the hallway, right in front of the bathroom door. It just needs to be scooped once a day, whenever you check it and it has poops in it.
If there's not enough litter or it needs a clean layer, you can find more litter in a big bag in the closet by the front door. It is normally on the left, behind the vacuum cleaner.
We put curtains up mostly for our sake. If she's messing with them or taking them down, you can remove them and put them away so she doesn't hurt herself with them or something.
Sometimes she plays with the litter. This is gross but probably harmless? Careful where you step, they're like stepping on Legos.
Ricky has a lot of energy and is a lot of fun to play with, but she can literally play forever. I've included a separate page on Playtime Strategies. They can be helpful if she's misbehaving or needy; it's usually because she's bored.
During the day, Ricky's favorite spot is on top of our dresser, where she can bask in the late afternoon sun and watch birds. Please leave the blinds open during the day so she can do that. It'd be ideal if you can remember to close them when you leave for the night so creepers can't look in.
Ricky's second favorite spot is the kitchen window facing the pool. She will play with the cord, so we tie it up to the nails in the wall. We also cover the wooden island with a tablecloth to minimize her contact with it because we use it when we are cooking, so please leave it on if you're not using it.
The lights in our living room, bedroom, and bathroom are all very efficient LEDs, so you don't need to turn them off when you're not around. If you remember, I'd prefer if you left a few lights on when you leave for the night. If you leave all of them on, they are on a schedule and will turn off on their own so Ricky can sleep.
The kitchen lights are not LEDs and not particularly efficient, so you can turn those off when you don't need them.
